《小王子》一直以來都被稱作寫給成年人的童話，是“人類有史以來的經(jīng)典讀物”。它不僅僅是在向小孩子講一個(gè)有趣的故事，還試圖把呆板、荒唐、愚昧的成年人拉回到純真的童年。只有回歸到純真，才是我們最終最溫暖的歸宿。

書中的小王子在他的宇宙航行中，遇到了許多不同的人，就像是成人世界里的真實(shí)寫照，同時(shí)，我們自己也會遇到國王、愛虛榮的人、酒鬼、商人、點(diǎn)燈人、地理學(xué)家，接受成人世界的殘忍真相，也會擁有自己的玫瑰，也會遇到狐貍。

小王子在他的宇宙航行中遇到的每個(gè)人，似乎都指向現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中的一種人。在追求幸福生活中，殫精竭慮，卻很容易迷失在自己的小天地里，往往會忽略，對自己來說，真正重要的東西是什么。大人們總是要做有意義的事情，就像文章開篇，大人們告訴作者，要把興趣放在地理、歷史、算數(shù)這些上邊，就像會有人覺得一定要做正經(jīng)事，不然就是浪費(fèi)時(shí)間。但是，小王子和這些大人們不一樣。所以，他能夠和依然有著童心的作者一直聊天。

《小王子》這本書是人類的禮物，在這本書里，有許多簡短的話，都能夠帶給人非常多的啟迪，帶給人深深的思考。

"One day," you said to me,"I saw the sunset forty-three times!"

And a little later you added:"You know—one loves the sunset, when one is so sad..."

"Were you so sad, then?" I asked, "on the day of the forty-three sunsets?"

But the little prince made no reply.

“一天，我看見過四十三次日落。”

過一會，你又說：“你知道，當(dāng)一個(gè)人感到苦悶的時(shí)候，總是喜歡日落的。”

“你看了四十三次日落的那天，很難過么。”我問小王子

但小王子沒有回答。"Goodbye," said the fox. "And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."

"What is essential is invisible to the eye," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

“再見。”狐貍說。“喏，這就是我的秘密。很簡單：只有用心才能看得清。實(shí)質(zhì)性的東西，用眼睛是看不見的。”

"It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important."

"It is the time that I have wasted for my rose—" said the little prince, so that he would be sure to remember.

"Men have forgotten this truth," said the fox." But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose..."

"I am responsible for my rose," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

“正因?yàn)槟銥槟愕拿倒寤ㄙM(fèi)了時(shí)間，這才使你的玫瑰變得如此重要。”

“人們已經(jīng)忘記了這個(gè)道理，”狐貍說，“可是，你不應(yīng)該忘記它。你現(xiàn)在要對你馴服過的一切負(fù)責(zé)到底。你要對你的玫瑰負(fù)責(zé)……”

“我要對我的玫瑰負(fù)責(zé)……”小王子又重復(fù)著……這樣他一定會記住。"It would have been better to come back at the same hour," said the fox.

"If, for example, you come at four o'clock in the afternoon, then at three o'clock I shall begin to be happy. I shall feel happier and happier as the hour advances. At four o'clock, I shall already be worrying and jumping about. I shall show you how happy I am! But if you come at just any time, I shall never know at what hour my heart is to be ready to greet you...One must observe the proper rites …"

“最好還是在原來的那個(gè)時(shí)間來。”狐貍說道。

“比如說，你下午四點(diǎn)鐘來，那么從三點(diǎn)鐘起，我就開始感到幸福。時(shí)間越臨近，我就越感到幸福。到了四點(diǎn)鐘的時(shí)候，我就會坐立不安；我會告訴你我有多開心。但是，如果你隨便什么時(shí)候來，我就不知道在什么時(shí)候該準(zhǔn)備好我的心情……必須遵守正確的儀式。”"What is a rite?" asked the little prince.

"Those also are actions too often neglected," said the fox.

"They are what make one day different from other days, one hour from other hours. There is a rite, for example, among my hunters. Every Thursday they dance with the village girls. So Thursday is a wonderful day for me! I can take a walk as far as the vineyards. But if the hunters danced at just any time, every day would be like every other day, and I should never have any vacation at all."

“儀式是什么？”小王子問道。

“這也是一種早已被人忘卻了的事。”狐貍說。

“它就是使某一天與其他日子不同，使某一時(shí)刻與其他時(shí)刻不同的東西。比如說，我的那些獵人就有一種儀式。他們每星期四都和村子里的姑娘們跳舞。于是，星期四就是一個(gè)美好的日子！我可以一直散步到葡萄園去。如果獵人們什么時(shí)候都跳舞，天天又全都一樣，那么我也就沒有假日了。”
